Consisting of four string instruments – two violins, a viola and a cello, The Dutch String Quartet is known as a prominent commercial ensemble and can be booked for various events. What makes our String Quartet so unique in the Netherlands is our extensive repertoire of pop music. From Bach to Bridgerton and from the famous Second Waltz to Madonna’s Material girl: we have everything ready on our tablets. And if a song is missing? Then we will find it especially for you!

At a Christmas dinner, zen-like titles from traditional Christmas are also available; Silent night, Oh come all ye faithful, Jesu Joy, and many other European Christmas titles. Our tablets are filled with titles for every moment. Request songs are welcome in advance.

Who are we? Who is The Dutch String Quartet?

I am Scarlett Arts, cellist of The Dutch String Quartet and since 1995 I have been working as a professional cellist in various other ensembles and orchestras. I founded The Dutch String Quartet in this form around 2010. Never had I dared to dream that it would be so busy during the wedding season: fantastic! Exactly what we find challenging and fun to do. Because there is a lot of ‘Fingerspitzengefühl’ involved, although you might not say so ;-).

We were the first Dutch quartet to use tablets and therefore we will take over thousand titles to your booking. Every party is different, together we choose what suits your booking. So there is never a shortage of music, light or too much wind for the sheet music; we are ready for it! We play a lot in the Randstad but are happy to travel to the provinces of Groningen, Zeeland, Friesland and Limburg and everything in between. Our Belgium Team covers the whole of Belgium

The Dutch String Quartet or ensemble with pianist also gives concerts. For example, we played ‘The Four Seasons‘ at The Concertgebouw with Rosanne Philippens as soloist, in a sold-out hall. On 10 June 2022, the hall was once again full at our wonderful concert where my colleagues from The String Quartet were rightly in the spotlight as soloists.
